Who the heck is Dan Bryk? That's a good question. Bryk is a songwriter and singer (admittedly in that order) and a dutiful scholar of the apparently anachronistic "pop songwriting" form. His songs are constantly making friends with all the right people. Which, of course, means you.

Bryk's brand new album Pop Psychology is out NOW as a limited-run of CDs in a beautiful hand-stamped, numbered package, or as digital downloads from a wide variety of online stores.

Lucid Culture calls Pop Psychology "A strong candidate for best album of the year... a triumph of intelligence and wit, an oasis in a world full of idiots." Pitchfork calls Bryk "...a Clipse for Burt Bacharach fans, peddling witty cynicism like crack." Songs:Illinois opines "Each clever turn of phrase, jangly guitar, layer of odd instrumentation, and overdubbed vocal is a revelation."
Dan's wife muses "if only he could pay the @#$%& rent."

Listen to Bryk's music for free and perhaps even buy it from your favourite record store or the usual online suspects like Amazon.com, CDBaby, iTunes, eMusic and Rhapsody. Those of you who insist music should be free are welcome to help subsidize its creation with a paypal donation or the purchase of nifty Bryk clothing and merch from Zazzle.com. And check out the really snazzy, flex-printed Pop Psychology T-shirts over at Spreadshirt. Or just come out to a show!

You can check for news and upcoming shows on Dan's blog, visit his Reverbnation and Myspace sites, read his half-hearted, infrequent tweets or give him a smack on the back (or lips) at Facebook. Visit Urban Myth for news updates, radio and press links. Now that's outsourcing!
